It’s imperative for Lola’s Cupcakes that the product arrives to the customer in premium condition, so their fleet is fitted with refrigeration technology. To have the most efficient power for the chillers ( not using petrol &  vehicle idling etc) each van is fitted with solar PV. The unique advantages of MIPV Solar technology has enabled the Next Day Solar team to create a high quality solution, that’s easy to install and which optimises energy production compared to ‘traditional’ solar panels.

The panel is streamlined, so it hugs the body/shape/contour of the vehicle perfectly, where as you typically see an aluminium framed panel, on a plastic bracketry system fixed to the roof which is not aerodynamic, a dirt trap, and unsightly. The adhesive backing means no requirement for brackets or fixings, it’s just peel and stick which speeds up installation. The all black finish is smart, blends in and it’s almost hard to tell is a PV panel.

We’ve tested a few panels when we were doing some research into our vehicles, the MIPV generated equal if not more than the standard panels you can get off the shelf, so with all it's other advantages it was a no brainer for us.
